Independent Majority Colorado focuses on three priorities:
Colorado must remain livable. We support policies that protect taxpayers and defend voter control — including safeguards like the Taxpayer’s Bill of Rights — so government growth stays accountable to the people.
Citizens deserve meaningful opportunities to question, challenge, and shape decisions at every level of government. Transparency is not optional. Government works best when voters are informed and engaged.
We promote reforms grounded in personal freedom, responsibility, and long-term stability — not partisan ideology.
SMALL ACTIONS. REAL IMPACT.
Meanwhile:
Is it any wonder that Colorado’s largest and fastest-growing bloc of voters is unaffiliated/independent?
Most Coloradans are not ideological warriors. We want practical solutions. Responsible leadership. And the freedom to live our lives without being micromanaged by either party.
The longer reasonable people stay silent, the more the extremes set the agenda.

Erin Brantley is a Colorado small business owner, devoted wife, and mother of two. Erin has grown increasingly frustrated as local politics continue to get farther and farther away from common sense. Instead of settling, she decided to take action. Her social media platform grew from a viral video which launched a nationwide grassroots movement. From there, she has continued to create political content centered around policy breakdowns, honest critiques of both sides and political discourse. Today, she hosts the Liberty Legion Podcast and co-hosts the Independence Institute’s Learning Curve.
I HATE BULLIES.
As President of Independence Institute, I have dedicated my professional life to stopping bullies who use the coercive power of government to force their values on those who don’t share them, and to take from others.
I’m the Sunday editorial columnist for The Denver Gazette, The Colorado Springs Gazette, and Colorado Politics. My current affairs television program, Devil’s Advocate with Jon Caldara, airs on Colorado Public Television Channel 12, Friday nights at 8:30. I also host radio talk shows on Denver’s 630 KHOW and 850 KOA.
My greatest pride is being the father of three amazing children; my daughter Parker, who died of cancer in 2001, my daughter Piper who came along to save me in 2002, and wild-man Chance born in 2004 who, either because or despite of his Down Syndrome, is the frat brother I never had.
